Contemporary a cappella - Contemporary a cappella is a genre in which contemporary popular music is sung a cappella: without accompaniment by instruments. The songs may be original works in a popular style, or may be covers of popular songs, arranged for a cappella voices.

A cappella - A cappella music is vocal music or singing without instrumental accompaniment, or a piece intended to be performed in this way. A cappella is Italian for from the chapel (music); the term is due to restrictions on the use of instruments in medieval churches.

The Contemporary A Cappella Society - The Contemporary A Cappella Society (of America), or CASA, is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering and promoting a cappella music of all styles around the world. Founded in the early '90's, they have a number of programs, including:

International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella - Originally the National Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (NCCA, a play on NCAA), this international event attracts hundreds of college a cappella groups each year who advance from regional to semi-final contests, with the six finalists competing in New York for the title.
